WBZ NewsRadio 1030 & Menopause The Musical Online Contest
Official Contest Rules
 
1.        How to Enter the Contest:
 
a.         The WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Menopause The Musical Online Contest will begin on Monday, April 28, 2008 and end on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:59:59 EDT.
 
b.        To participate in the contest, fill in the required information on the contest registration form on the “Contests” page of www.WBZ1030.com.  If you experience technical difficulties, or if you cannot access the Internet, you can contact Ashley Kern in the WBZ NewsRadio Promotion Department at 617-787-7195 to receive the contest information.  
 
To enter online you must provide your first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number and a valid e-mail address in the on-line entry form. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. WBZ is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
 
For entries mailed to WBZ, you must provide your first name and last name; complete mailing address and daytime telephone number. WBZ is not responsible for lost, stolen, mutilated or illegible entries.
 
c.        Internet entries: Only one Internet entry per person and one Internet entry per e-mail address. Entries mailed to WBZ: One entry per person. Duplicate entries will be rejected.  
 
2.        Eligibility Restrictions:
 
a.        The contest is open to all WBZ listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the greater Boston metropolitan area. Employees of WBZ, its licensee, CBS Radio Inc., its parent corporation, their affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Boston metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
 
b.         Contestants are also required to provide truthful information and we will reject and delete any entry (mail-in or Internet) that we discover to be false or fraudulent.
 
c.        Listeners are eligible to win a WBZ contest only once every sixty days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
 
3.         Internet Contests Privacy Policy:
 
a.         WBZ does not sell, lease, exchange or disclose your personally identifiable information with third party non-affiliated persons other than our sponsors or partners, unless it is required by law, or disclosure is necessary to those persons that operate our website, manage our contests/events and conduct prize fulfillment (“operational providers”), and to protect the safety of our visitors, employees, or property. We also expect our operational providers to protect your privacy.
 
b.         WBZ contests, sweepstakes and special events are often produced with the generous support of non-affiliated sponsors and/or promotional partners. The personally identifiable information contestants voluntarily provide on our website may also be used for the marketing of additional events, services, and goods by WBZ, our parent company and affiliated stations, and our sponsors or partners.  Please be informed that our sponsors or promotional partners may not have the same privacy policies that we do. If you do not wish to receive such additional marketing information or updates from WBZ, and/or our sponsors and partners, you should check the boxes so indicated in the contest registration area. However, we maintain the right to disclose any and all databases collected by the websites(s), in the event that the assets or stock of WBZ, or its corporate licensee or parent company are sold or transferred.
 
c.         WBZ may provide aggregate statistics about our contestants, traffic patterns and related website information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will not include personally identifying information. 
 
4.        Prizes:
 
a.        Four (4) tickets to Menopause The Musical at the Stuart Street Playhouse, with the date to be determined at a later date. Value: $180.00 USD
 
b.        All prizes or prize certificates must be picked up at the office of WBZ, 1170 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA  02134. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within forty-five calendar days (45) of winning, or with-in the designated timeframe for perishable prizes, will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. WBZ is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
 
c.        Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
 
5.         Selection of Winners:
 
a.         Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
 
b.        WBZ will select one winner the week of May 12, 2008.   
 
c.        WBZ will choose one winner at random from all eligible mail-in and Internet entries.
 
d.        Winner will be notified the week of May 12, 2008 via e-mail or telephone. If the winner(s) cannot be contacted within twelve (12) hours after the prize is awarded, an alternate winner will be selected.                     
 
6.        Conditions:
 
a.        Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
 
b.         By participating in the contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
 
c.        Contest winners (and their guests or travel companions, if any) will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by WBZ. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold WBZ, their corporate licensee, CBS Radio Inc., their corporate parent, their affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
 
d.         WBZ in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WBZ1030.com website or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The stations further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
 
7.        WBZ reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
 
8.         No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
 
9.         Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of WBZ.
 
10.       WBZ is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
 
11.       Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WBZ NewsRadio 1030 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to WBZ NewsRadio 1030, 1170 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02134.
