Police ID homicide victim found in Dorchester



Boston (WBZ Newsroom)  -- Boston Police have identified the man who was found dead early Monday near a playground at a park in Dorchester.

Police say 40-year old Troy West of Dorchester had apparently been stabbed multiple times. His body was found by a passerby on a bench at King Street Park at Adams and King Streets around 8 a.m.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 617-343-4470. People who want to remain anonymous can call 800-494-TIPS or text the word "TIP" to CRIME (27463).
