Concord, NH -- A New Hampshire teen is allowed to finish his senior year, after he was arrested during an alleged drug buy set up by another school’s principal.
John Huckins of Concord will face criminal charges in court Tuesday, but he will be permitted to finish off the year, though he won’t be able to attend senior prom or graduation.
In exchange, Huckins will drop a lawsuit alleging school officials violated their own rules in trying to suspend him.
Police say Huckins thought he was text-messaging a friend at Bishop Brady High School in March when he went there for a drug sale. It turned out he was communicating with Brady Principal Jean Barker, who had confiscated a cell phone from one of Huckins' friends.
