Q: Am I qualified to be an intern?
A: If you are a college sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student who is able to take the internship for credit, then you are qualified to take an internship at Viacom Boston. We do not have opportunities for high school students or for volunteers. All internships are unpaid.

Q: What types of internships are available at CBS4 Boston?
A: A variety of opportunities are available in WBZ-TV, WBZ-AM and UPN 38. These include Assignment Desk, I-Team, BZ Productions, Public Relations, Creative Services, Programming and others. You will gain exposure to the inner workings of a television and/or radio station, along with receiving some hands-on experience in your field of choice.

Q: What is the length of an internship?
A: Our internships run in three-quarters: Fall (September -December), Spring (January - May) and Summer (May - August). We require interns to work at least 15 hours and that may be lengthened if an unusual amount of credits are being taken for the internship (most internships are between 1-3 credits). Full information is available Typically participants major in communications or journalism, but broadcasting is comprehensive enough to interest students who major in English, History, Political Science, Fine Arts, Marketing, Computer Science, and other studies.
