The Bruins take on the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings on September 25th in Halifax, Nova Scotia, then again the next night in Detroit.
The 2008 pre-season schedule also includes two games each against the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and Washington Capitals. The pre-season schedule begins September 22nd against the Habs in Halifax.
Training camp starts September 19th. The Bruins open the regular season with a four-game road trip beginning in Colorado on October 9th. The home opener is October 20th against the Stanley Cup runner-up Penguins.
