BCS Format Still a Poor Substitute for Playoff Format

The more I watch division-1 bowl games the more perplexed I am as to why, unlike every other division in college, there is not a playoff format in place.

Yes, yes…we all know the answer is money but surely there are enough bright minds to figure out how everyone can be satisfied financially while putting into place a playoff format so we aren’t left wondering if Southern Cal and Georgia – this year’s argument – aren’t, in fact, the real teams that should be deciding the national championship.

The playoff format works in Division-1AA (I don’t care what the official moniker is), Division-2, and Division-3.

Just lock a half-dozen or so brains in a room and tell them they can’t come out until they have arrived at a solution to institute a playoff format so there is absolutely NO doubt as to which team has earned the right to be called the best Division-1 college football team in the land.
