2008 NFL Mock Draft by Jacen Fernandes

There should be a good amount of movement by teams in the first round this year. As we all know, one trade can shake everything up. This Mock Draft is based on teams staying put. Michigan Offensive Tackle Jake Long has already signed with the Miami Dolphins, so I can at least say I have one correct. Now for the hard part.

1. Miami Dolphins              Jake Long                OT      Michigan

2. St. Louis Rams                Chris Long               DE      Virginia

3. Atlanta Falcons               Glenn Dorsey           DT       LSU

4. Oakland Raiders              Vernon Gholston     DE       Ohio State

5. Kansas City Chiefs          Matt Ryan               QB       Boston College

6. New York Jets                 Darren McFadden   RB       Arkansas

7. New England Patriots   Keith Rivers           LB       USC
I still think the Patriots will trade out of this pick. They might move down and try to get more value for their money, considering the guaranteed money that a seventh overall pick will command. They could even try to trade up and grab someone like Vernon Gholston or Chris long.

8. Baltimore Ravens            Ryan Clady             OT       Boise State

9. Cincinnati Bengals           Sedrick Ellis           DT       USC

10. New Orleans Saints       Mike Jenkins           CB       South Florida

11. Buffalo Bills                  Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB   Tenn. St.

12. Denver Broncos             Branden Albert       OG       Virginia

13. Carolina Panthers           Rashard Mendenhall RB    Illinois

14. Chicago Bears                Jeff Otah                 OT        Pitt

15. Detroit Lions                  Derrick Harvey       DE       Florida

16. Arizona Cardinals          Leodis McKelvin     CB       Troy

17. Kansas City Chiefs        Chris Williams         OT       Vanderbilt

18. Houston Texans             Aqib Talib                CB       Kansas

19. Philadelphia Eagles        Devin Thomas         WR      Michigan State

20. Tampa Buccaneers         James Hardy            WR      Indiana

21. Washington Redskins     Phillip Merling        DE       Clemson

22. Dallas Cowboys            DeSean Jackson        WR       California

23. Pittsburgh Steelers        Jerod Mayo                LB       Tennessee

24. Tennessee Titans           Limas Sweed            WR       Texas

25. Seattle Seahawks           Kentwan Balmer       DT        North Carolina

26. Jacksonville Jaguars      Calais Campbell       DE         Miami

27. San Diego Chargers       Jonathan Stewart      RB         Oregon

28. Dallas Cowboys             Felix Jones               RB         Arkansas

29. San Francisco 49ers       Gosder Cherilus       OT         Boston College

30. Green Bay Packers         Brandon Flowers     CB         Virginia Tech

**Patriots Forfeit Pick**

31. New York Giants            Dan Connor             LB         Penn State
