2008 BOSTON KIDNEY WALK 
 
·         Under-5K, non-competitive walk to raise funds for National Kidney Foundation of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont
·         Route leads walkers through exhibits at Franklin Park Zoo
·         Refreshments and entertainment
·         Free parking
 
The keynote speaker (and an event participant) is Shad Ireland. Once near death and weighing just 75 lbs, through sheer determination Shad became the first dialysis patient to complete an Ironman triathlon. Today, Shad campaigns nationwide for chronically ill people to take a positive, proactive approach to their challenges and achieve life goals. He is sponsored by Fresenius Medical Care North America, his home dialysis provider.  Grand Sponsors of the 2008 Boston Kidney Walk are Fresenius Medical Care, Larsen-Allen and USI.
